I have always had a passion for decorating and a love of beautiful things. My knowledge is rooted in the Classical aesthetic having studied Classics at Edinburgh University followed by History of Art at Sothebys.
My passion for interiors was finally indulged when I worked for tastemaker Robert Kime, the decorator and textile designer synonymous with English interiors. Running his flagship showroom in Bloomsbury and working on projects with Robert based in London and the countryside, I gained an appreciation for colour, texture and layering to create effortless and inspiring rooms.
Travel plays a huge part in my life resulting in an eclectic love of design from all over the globe. I have a growing library of textiles picked up on my travels from countries including India, Turkey, Morocco and Africa. These are for sale either privately or to the trade.
I offer a variety of services, ranging from a 'Furnishings Facelift' (sourcing of individual items to revive tired rooms), upholstery and curtains, to full room design and project management. I can also help source antiques.
The most important aspect of my work is getting to know my clients and building a strong relationship. I love interacting with them and seeing what aspects of their personality are reflected in their home. Each brief is unique and a bespoke package is created for their specific requirements.
I am based in London, but am happy to meet clients in the Home Counties and Hampshire/Wilts/Dorset/Oxford directions.
